Now you can see when someone tries to make a better mix of 'Kramer vs. Kramer' than you! Go to Music > Browse all mixes and click on the orange RSS button. Geek out with us!

Big Big Disgrace

While he's busy judging the remix competition of this track, Glideascope is also quietly celebrating the song's UK release - which was this Monday. You can buy the track and some remixes from the likes of Daz-I-Kue & DJ Parker from all good record shops (or online!).

Remix competition now closed!

Yes, you had 6 weeks, then we gave you a 7-day extension, but now its all over. The Glideascope remix competition for 'Big Big Disgrace' is officially closed. All mixes on the site as of midday on Monday 21st August (London time) will be considered for the main prize of an iPod Nano loaded with Glideascope's new album. There are also prizes for 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th place.

However, congratulations are due to Orbitribe and Xezzy - who have won a spot prize in the run-up to the final. Don't worry - your mixes are still considered for the main prize! We'll be contacting you with requests for mailing addresses soon. Congratulations!

First Glideascope winners & deadline extension

Congratulations to 40yearolddj, TheSavant and NightHuntA - who are the first winners of spot prizes in the Glideascope remix competition. They will receive either a smart Glideascope T-shirt or Glideascope's 'With Strings Attached' E.P. They are also still eligible for the main prize, so could win again!

Coldcut coming soon!

Yes - it's true. Everyone's favourite beatmasters Coldcut are back on YourSpins very soon. Following hot on the heels of 'Whistle & A Prayer', this time, their collaboration with Robert Owens, 'Walk a Mile in My Shoes', will be yours to remix, spin and interpret as you see fit. As usual, you will be able to make your own ringtones from your mix and put the mix on your own blog or website. Can you get colder than Coldcut?

Gildeascope deadline approaching

For all of you wanting to enter the Glideascope remix competition - you need to start thinking about your final entries for the contest soon. We have exactly one week left before the competition closes (midday London time on Monday 14th August). After this date Glideascope will listen to all of the mixes and will offer the prizes to the winning mixes/mixers. If you haven't entered the competition yet, details are here and you should start mixing here!

Latest news

Lots of behind the scenes stuff has been going on this week, which may not be interesting for you right now, but in a few weeks time it will be! We are updating the homepage and going to make it easier to make your mixes into 'spintones' - ringtones of your mixes on the site. Also we have a few new releases which will surprise and delight you in equal measure. So stay tuned to the site and this blog for more news on these.

This week we also had our hands full with the switchover to the new shiny URLs we were so happy with. Hopefully that has all been implemented now without any odd bugs or errors on the site, but please let us know if we are wrong! Apologies to those people who were not able to save their mixes earlier in the week, but in case anything like that happens again, try mailing the mix to yourself to upload later!
