Taffer...With a name like that I take it that you are a sheep shearing (Now now children!) Welsh rare-bit who listens mainly to Charlotte Church at your home down in the valleys (Though Char's is FAR from an Angel...Her foul language is worse that Gordon Ramsey!) and because of that you will so NOT be accustomed to our Cockney apples and pears rhyming slang! When us Londoners 'Pick a winner!' it means that somebody in the very close vicinity of them is trying their hardest to grab hold of and remove a bogey from their nose! Now you know what picking a winner means but for Pete's sake, don't ever go clubbing at Heaven (Gay nightclub...Charing Cross) and ask to push someones stool in for them at the bar will you?
